That's it! 23.06.2017 - 18:51 von Sina Struve

NOAH17 Berlin is over, two days packed with panels, presentations, workshops and pitches have come to an end.

Let’s see which trends we will analyse next year and how the different markets will transform until then.

Special thanks to the whole NOAH team and especially to NOAH-CEO and organiser Marco Rodzynek for bringing together so many inspiring entrepreneurs, for asking the right questions and for his endurance over those two intense days. To finish off with his closing remarks: “Be creative and try to solve your customer’s problems, maybe not only the direct ones but also the indirect ones. Thanks for another great NOAH conference!”

See you next year!

Flixbus 23.06.2017 - 18:28 von Paul Knecht

With more than 30 million rides in 2016, Flixbus is the biggest competitor for Deutsche Bahn in Germany. „We offer the best price-quality experience for the consumers“, explains Jochen Engert, CEO of Flixbus. „I think we were the ones who pushed Deutsche Bahn to have a free WiFi on the rails. And we like this position where we are able to push our competitor.“

„The road metric is so much granular and dense. So with our platform, people can go point to point which makes us a convenience choice for our customers", says Chantal Ambord from BlaBlarCar.

BlaBlarCar just launched a totally new cooperation in France: Partnering with leasing company ALD Automotive and car manufacturer Opel, the company is offering car-as-a-service deals to the platform’s most active members, including discount on leasing, warranty and maintenance services.

Pricing and new mobility business models 23.06.2017 - 18:37 von Sina Struve

Most important to users of sharing models is the price - here the hottest competition is between DriveNow and Car2Go: The former with 31 to 34 cents per minute, the latter with 24 cents per minute, using a Smart.

Has it become easier for mobility companies? 23.06.2017 - 18:26 von Paul Knecht

„How much easier is it for mobility concepts nowadays, compared to five years ago?“ asks interviewer Marco.

„Since we have become profitable we get a lot more trust“, answers Nico Gabriel from DriveNow. „And mobility is much more in the focus of the management boards. Our parent car companies are now investing much more in the mobility sector. We simply were one of the first ventures that has been sourced out and we have shown that a concept can work out.“

From car ownership to transportation as a service 23.06.2017 - 18:24 von Sina Struve

90 percent of the time our cars are unused - so new mobility ideas like sharing models are getting more and more important, also considering sustainability of transport. So the last session of the day is the mobility panel, featuring executives of BlaBlarCar, drivy, Flixbus, DriveNow, Car2Go and Gett.

“The trend is moving from car ownership to transportation as a service”, says Dave Waiser from Gett. “We have 150.000 cars with an average availability in 3 minutes.” Flixbus has developed a “S-Bahn-frequency” with busses departing every 20 minutes.
